AUTOMATION OF PORTAL CRANE
Introduction
Function replacement of Portal Crane to operate HOIST, LUFF, SLEW & TRAVELL motions with control panel for safeties and display for Weight Lifted, Weight lifted allowed, Boom Angle, Hook Radius, Boom Height, Hook Limits, Boom Limits, Joystick status, Speed of all motions etc.

Implementation
Portal crane control is designed to operate HOIST, LUFF, SLEW & TRAVELL through OMRON PLC system with HMI to display drives speed. Ascorel crane safe load indicator system is used for safety and feed back from crane such as Dynamometer, A2B sensor and angle sensor. Crane can control through joystick via analogue signals to PLC. PLC can controlled Drives for motion of crane.
